The Official 2026 FPT Calendar: New Destinations!

The wait is over! The Freestyle Pro Tour is thrilled to announce the full 2026 event calendar!

This year brings brand-new destinations to the tour, the return of fan-favorite locations, and a global schedule spanning Europe, Asia, and beyond.

“We’re very excited to present our provisional Freestyle Pro Tour calendar for 2026. The upcoming season brings the return of some classic tour locations alongside new destinations and growing partnerships with national associations.” – says Adam Sims, FPT Owner and CEO

“Our focus remains firmly on the competitors, the athletes who continue to push freestyle windsurfing to new levels. We look forward to giving them the stages they deserve and supporting their progression as the sport continues to evolve.”

Season Kickoff: Boot Düsseldorf Tow-In Invitational

January 23-25 | Düsseldorf, Germany | 8-Star

The tour has kicked off once again at the iconic Boot Düsseldorf trade show, where the world’s best tow-in riders have battled it out to start the year.

Sardinia Returns for Year Two

May 28-31 | Porto Pollo, Sardinia | 5-Star | Men’s, Youth & Juniors | Fin Freestyle + FoilStyle Hosted by Rupi’s Chilling Out

Following Sardinia’s triumphant return to the calendar in 2025 after a seven-year absence, Porto Pollo is back for round two. June’s winds guarantee high-powered freestyle action, and with a strong local scene. Expect fierce battles between international riders and homegrown talent! This year’s event features both fin freestyle and FoilStyle competition, plus Youth/Junior divisions – making it a proving ground for the next generation.

NEW: Podersdorf Joins the Tour

June 3-7 | Podersdorf, Austria | 5-Star | Men’s, Women’s (Youth & Juniors TBC) | Fin Freestyle Hosted by Windy Days Podersdorf

The FPT returns to where it all began. We’re bringing world-class freestyle competition back Podersdorf on Lake Neusiedl. The shallow, flat water and consistent thermal winds that made Podersdorf a proving ground for generations of freestylers are ready to host a new chapter. With both men’s and women’s divisions confirmed, this homecoming event is set to be one of the season’s most exciting stops.

NEW: Turkey Makes Its Debut

August 27-30 | Turkey | 6-Star | Men’s, Women’s | Fin Freestyle

For the first time ever, the FPT brings competition to Turkey and with that, super flat water. This offshore setup in northwestern Turkey delivers glassy conditions combined with the same powerful Meltemi winds that make Greece a freestyle paradise: consistently blowing winds! With both men’s and women’s fleets competing, expect technical combo madness and high-flying power moves in equal measure.

Naxos: Round Three

September 2-6 | Naxos, Greece | 7-Star | Men’s, Women’s, Youth & Juniors | Fin Freestyle Hosted by Flisvos Watersports 1974

After two incredible seasons on the Greek island of Naxos, the tour returns for what’s become a rider-favorite event. The lagoon’s consistent winds create ideal conditions for both technical freestyle and high-flying power moves. Last year’s European Champion Lennart Neubauer will be looking to defend his title on home turf once again – but with the level rising every year, nothing is guaranteed.

Geneva: Tow-In & FoilStyle Showdown

September 18-20 | Geneva, Switzerland | 8-Star | Men’s, Women’s, Youth & Juniors | Tow-In + FoilStyle Hosted at the GVA Wind Festival in the Tropical Corner

Lake Geneva returns to the calendar for its fourth edition, hosting both the Tow-In World Series Finals and the season’s biggest FoilStyle competition. The GVA Wind Festival combined with world-class riding has made this event a tour highlight year after year. Whether it’s massive air rotations behind the boat or stylish foil maneuvers, Geneva always delivers.

NEW: Genoa Closes Out the European Season

October 14-18 | Genoa, Italy | 6-Star | Men’s | Fin Freestyle

The tour heads to Italy’s stunning Ligurian coast for an all-new event in Genoa. Offshore winds, choppy conditions, and the powerful Tramontana make this a test of skill in demanding waters. As the final European event before the global title race heads into its closing stretch, expect riders to leave it all on the water.

Global Freestyle: FPT-Endorsed Events Worldwide

The 2026 calendar also features events hosted by national windsurfing associations around the world, backed and endorsed by the Freestyle Pro Tour:
