Top 5 Moves | FPT Geneva 2024 Tow-In Finals

With Geneva 2025 right around the corner, we decided to take a look at last year’s event and check out some of the biggest moves our riders sent over the course of the event. Last time we looked at the top moves of the qualifying rounds, with some huge moves and incredibly high scores. Today, we’ve rounded up the Top 5 moves from the finals rounds to relive some of the best moments from the final day of competition – and believe us, there were some absolutely huge moves thrown down.

SamAir – Yentel Caers (JP Australia/Neilpryde) | 10.00

The show-stopping highlight of Geneva 2024 – Yentel Caers absolutely knocked it out the park with this one, stomping the biggest ever Triple Air Rotation ever seen in windsurfing. The move – dubbed the “SamAir” after the Flying Frenchman Sam Esteve pioneered the move landing it for the first time at the 2023 edition of this event – was given a perfect 10, with the judges being unable to find any remarks for the Belgian’s flawless execution.

Pasko – Lennart Neubauer (Starboard/Severne) | 8.67

Lennart Neubauer sealed off his stay in Geneva last year with a bang, stomping this near-perfect Pasko. While Yentel’s SamAir was the highlight of the final day, this Pasko secured the young Greek superstar the runner-up spot at this event, simultaneously giving him the victory in the overall 2024 Tow-In ranking following his victory earlier in the year in Vieste.

Air Funnell Burner – Lennart Neubauer (Starboard/Severne) | 8.33

Opening his finals with the exact same trick as his qualifier, Lennart pulled out yet another near-perfect Air Funnell Burner. A move that’s synonymous with high-level Tow-In, having the consistency to stomp this move this flawlessly on nearly every attempt at the flatwater runs is exactly why Neubauer ended the 2024 season as the FPT Tow-In champion.

Triple Funnell – Sam Esteve | 8.00

Is there anything that screams “Sam Esteve” more than a perfect Triple Funnell? A move that the Frenchman loves doing in regular Freestyle windsurfing also made it into his repertoire in last year’s final round in Geneva. Clinical technique, crazy repop – all you could ask for in a move like this. And the judges seemed to agree as well, scoring it nearly half a point higher than Yentel Caers’ take on the move in the qualifying round.

Air Funnell Burner – Yentel Caers (JP Australia/Neilpryde) | 7.5

If there’s flatwater Tow-In, there’s gonna be Air Funnell Burners. That’s just how the story goes. Yentel Caers seemed to agree, bringing this one out in his first run giving him a strong start to his event-winning campaign in the final round, making it look so casual as well – because who wants to get their hair wet anyway?
