Super Session Action and Crowning the 2026 Champions | FPT Brouwersdam Days 3 and 4 Recap

After two days of nuclear winds and massive scores, the final two days of FPT Brouwersdam slowed down quite a bit with an Overall Impression session, festival vibes and the crowning of the 2026 FPT European Champions. As the DAM-X festival came to a close, the freestyle community had plenty to celebrate, with another memorable season of the Freestyle Pro Tour officially in the books.

Day 3: Overall Impression and a Stormy Sundowner

Following the intensity and insanity of the opening two days, Day 3 offered a much more chilled-out schedule. After a late skippers’ meeting, the plan of attack was an Overall Impression Session format. Two qualifying fleets during the day and a 30-minute Sundowner Final in the evening. Multiple riders shared the water at the same time, with riders judging riders.

In the first qualifying fleet, Bodhi Kempen won over the judges with a massive Air Spock landed right in front of the crowd, while Takumi Moriya secured the second spot with a stylish No-Handed Flaka and several other impressive moves. The second fleet saw Italian style master Jacopo Testa advance with his signature Spock combos, alongside Cosmo Pezetti, who threw big power moves and showed plenty of energy with crowd interaction.

Between the qualifiers and the evening final, riders took part in a signature session and enjoyed the festival atmosphere around the DAM-X event site.

The Sundowner Final brought one last dose of unpredictability. With a storm moving across the site during the 30-minute window, conditions shifted from decent wind with riders powered up on 4.8 sails to almost no wind at all. For a moment, simply landing a move looked like it might be enough to win the session. Then, with around 10 minutes remaining, the storm hit and the wind suddenly cranked back in, taking the riders from throwing Grubbies and Lollipops to Shifty Shakas and Double Air Culos in a matter of minutes.

Davy Scheffers handled the changing conditions best, showcasing a stylish Switch Chachoo and an insane Lazy Susan in the lighter wind before unleashing a huge Air Skopu as the storm kicked in. It was a fitting end to the day’s action, with the riders making the most of everything Brouwersdam had to offer.

Day 4: Crowning the Champions

The final day of FPT action at the DAM-X festival was a relaxed affair, with signing sessions, riders hanging out around the event site and a short, non-competitive 30-minute Foilstyle show rounding off the on-water programme. In the afternoon, a large crowd gathered around the podium to celebrate the winners of FPT Brouwersdam, the Tow-In World Series and the 2026 FPT European Championship.

At the event itself, Maaike Huvermann took the Pro Women’s victory ahead of Lisa Kloster and Bijou Shahmirian, while Lennart Neubauer completed his incredible comeback to win the Pro Men’s fleet, with Yentel Caers in second and Youp Schmit in third.

As no Tow-In competition was held in Brouwersdam in the end, the overall 2026 FPT Tow-In World Series rankings were simply carried over from the results at the Boot Duesseldorf at the beginning of the year, which led to Yentel Caers take the men’s title ahead of Lennart Neubauer and Steven van Broeckhoven, while Maaike Huvermann claimed the women’s crown, followed by Lisa Kloster and Elena Dominick.

In the Youth & Juniors Boys standings, Pier Bongianni took first place ahead of Leander Halm and Cosmo Pezetti. Bongianni’s victory marked his second consecutive title, successfully defending his crown from last year and going back-to-back in the category, while Holly Halm was crowned the FPT Youth & Juniors Girls Champion.

The afternoon also crowned the 2026 FPT European Champions, with Lisa Kloster winning the women’s title ahead of Živa Batis and Bijou Shahmirian, while Lennart Neubauer secured the men’s championship ahead of Yentel Caers and Youp Schmit.

For Lennart, the title marked an outstanding third consecutive FPT championship, maintaining his hold on the crown since FPT Naxos 2024. The big moment of the ceremony however, was Lisa Kloster claiming her first-ever European Championship title after winning in Podersdorf and finishing second at Brouwersdam.

With the final trophies awarded, FPT Brouwersdam has the 2026 season to a close. From full-power freestyle conditions, a historic men’s Super Final, changing winds of the Sundowner and finally the crowning of this year’s champions, the event provided an incredible finale to the 2026 season
