The 2025 FPT Awards Submissions are now OPEN!

We’re super stoked to announce the fifth edition of the FPT Awards!

Once again, we’re back with our yearly community awards, celebrating the very best of freestyle from the year behind us. Submissions are now open, so start digging through your clips, moments, and standout highlights from the year!

So… Who Can Enter?

Anyone can enter – The competition is open to all windsurfers, as long as the submission is freestyle-based or style-driven. No tour participation required; anyone can enter or nominate! FPT Awards Game Plan

The awards will cover the entire year of 2025.

• Deadline for submissions (all categories): 12 January 2026
• Start of public voting for Best Move: 16 January 2026
• Results Revealed: February 2026

This Year’s Categories

For the upcoming FPT Awards, submissions will be accepted across the following categories:

• Best Move (Men)
• Best Move (Women)
• Most Improved Rider (Men)
• Most Improved Rider (Women)
• Stylemaster of the Year
• The People’s Shredder Award – Community Rider of the Year

We decided to thin out the categories a little this year, with the goal of shifting the focus to celebrating the sickest riders and moments in our community.

Voting Update: Best Move

The voting format for Best Move is evolving.

While community involvement remains at the heart of the FPT Awards, this year’s Best Move vote will move beyond Instagram Stories alone. To give each move more room to breathe and more time to be appreciated, voting will take place through a live-ticker style post on the FPT website, allowing extended voting windows and more engagement from you guys!

Stay tuned to our channels once submissions close on January 12th for info when the voting page will appear on the website!

How Do I Enter?

To enter, simply submit your move, clip, or nomination, whether it’s your own or someone else’s who you think deserves a shot. If your submission fits more than one category, feel free to submit it to each relevant category. All we need is a downloadable link to your footage so it can be included in the final show.

Please send original clips in the highest possible quality.
Only clips from 2025 will be accepted.

Category Description

Best Move (Men / Women)
The best freestyle move or combo landed in 2025: Please include location, date, move name, and rider name. All equipment types and freestyle disciplines (Freestyle, Foilstyle, Tow-In) are accepted. Men’s and Women’s categories will be judged separately.

Most Improved Rider (Men / Women)
Awarded to the rider who demonstrated the most progression throughout 2025, whether through competitive results, innovation on the water, consistency, or standout performances either in or outside of competition. Men’s and Women’s categories will be judged separately.

Stylemaster of the Year
Recognising the rider who embodied pure freestyle sauce in 2025. Who’s the rider you just couldn’t take your eyes off when they hit the water in 2025?

The People’s Shredder Award – Community Rider of the Year
Awarded to the rider who best represents the heart of freestyle windsurfing – this award is meant to celebrate those who bring energy, positivity, and connection to the scene; the people who live, breathe and radiate freestyle.

• The FPT’s decisions are final. While there may be close calls, one winner must be selected.
• Anyone may enter, including FPT staff and event organisers, provided they are not part of the final judging panel.
• Only one submission per category is allowed. The same move may be submitted across multiple categories.
• By submitting footage, you grant the FPT permission to use and repurpose the media for the FPT Awards, Awards Show, and related promotional content.
• Copyright responsibility and clearance for footage usage remains with the submitting party.
