Three main stops and a whole lot of action is how the 2026 Season has shaped up so far.

The 2026 FPT season has already brought everything we love about freestyle: huge moves, close battles, unpredictable conditions, and plenty of good times around.

From the opening high-octane tow-in sessions at Boot Düsseldorf to the community vibes of Podersdorf, the Surffestival and beyond, we’ve picked out 24 moments that capture the story of the season so far.

Day 1 | Boot Düsseldorf

Back where the magic happens: Lisa Kloster and Maaike Huvermann stoked poolside for the return of the FPT at the Boot Düsseldorf tow-in venue, kicking off another season of freestyle action.

The top two ranked Men’s riders from the 2025 FPT season – Lennart Neubauer and Yentel Caers – share a moment before hitting the water together for the first time in 2026.

Maaike Huvermann wasted no time showing why she once again entered the event – and the new season – as the heavy favorite in the women’s fleet in the Friday training/show session.

Day 2 | Boot Düsseldorf

Foivos Tsoupras takes on the challenge of the Boot Düsseldorf tow-in pool with a sick Tow-In Shaka; a super rare move in the discipline, made especially tricky in such a confined space.

Progression never rests; Leander Halm’s Tow-In spark from the end of the previous season showed no signs of fading, with the young ripper showing consistent Burners and Culos throughout this event.

Steven van Broeckhoven showed that greatness doesn’t fade; he smashed out a sick No-Handed Burner in the qualifying round, but just narrowly missed out on a Top 2 finish and a finals slot, with both Lennart Neubauer and Yentel Caers stomping Air Funnel Burners and scoring higher.

Day 3 | Boot Düsseldorf

A big moment in the Women’s fleet was when Lisa Kloster landed her first-even Tow-In Culo: in the middle of the finals!

In what can only be described as an all-time final, Yentel Caers narrowly took the victory over Lennart Neubauer in front of a massive crowd that gathered poolside, cheering on both riders.

…and Maaike Huvermann and Yentel Caers’ victories were followed by the usual champagne-fueled podium chaos.

German Freestyle Battles | Surfestival Fehmarn

Riders judging riders, chill vibes, goot times on the water and a shared stoke for windsurfing: That’s what the German Freestyle Battles are all about.

While the forecast didn’t quite fill in for a full elimination, some Super-X shenanigans took place in the gusty, unpredictable conditions. And who else in the mix for victory other than Lennart Neubauer.

Towards the tail end of the event, the wind kicked in just enough for a best trick session on the biggest gear.

Combining the results from the best trick session with the three Supercross races, Lennart Neubauer came out on top, followed by Sebastian Gux and Foivos Tsoupras.

Day 1 | Windy Days Podersdorf

It was straight to registration, rigging and onto the water for nearly the entire fleet to catch the lightwind breeze was left of the insane conditions in the buildup to the event.

Marginal conditions proved tricky, but the fleet scored a warmup session nonetheless, with some stylish moves being thrown out as the riders got registered and ready for action

An ocean of gear spread across the banks of the Neuseidlersee, with over 30 riders registered for the competition.

Day 2 | Windy Days Podersdorf

A no wind day meant time for Tow-In action. We saw the return of a face we’ve missed seeing on tour for a while, with Bijou Shahmirian hitting the water in an FPT lycra again, now a part of the JP/Neilpryde team.

Arne Jorn also made a guns-blazing debut on tour with an insane Tow-In performance, landing his first double power moves only in his second-ever tow-in session; he’s definitely going to be a rider to watch in the future.

…and we saw yet another showdown between Lennart Neubauer and Yentel Caers, this time not in a heat or behind the jetski, but with the two riders battling it out pushing each other off their gear awaiting their runs. A bit of fun never hurts, does it?

Day 3 – Open Fleet | Windy Days Podersdorf

The local Austrian contingent were the riders who stood out above the rest in the open fleet; Nic Panne, Johannes Kratky, Michi Czech and others emerged victorious in their heats and looked strong entering the final rounds of the open fleet.

Returning rider and Freestyle competition veteran Max Brinnich seemed strongest throughout the early rounds; in the light conditions, he was pulling out all the moves needed, filling his scoresheets and taking heat after heat.

…however, in a “Battle of the Maxes”, BR was stopped by another returning ripper: local hero and freestyle legend Max Matissek made his way through the other side of the eliminaton, and in the end took the victory over Brinnich in the Open Fleet single elimination.

Day 3 – Women’s Fleet | Windy Days Podersdorf

The youngest rider to consistently appear on tour; Holly Halm continues to impress with visible progress at every single event she shows up at.

Ziva Batis was as strong as ever, making it all the way to the finals and finishing second for a second time in only her third-ever FPT elimination.

But it was Lisa Kloster who proved unchallengable. Landing her moves despite the tricky conditions, she walked away with the event crown; her first since FPT Cape Town 2024.

Day 4 | Windy Days Podersdorf

While the wind dropped off on the final day, and no official result for the Men’s Pro fleet was reached, Podersdorf delivered in another way; a beautiful sunset and an epic tow-in show for a huge crowd gathered on the beach to wrap the event up.

The most scenic Tow-In session in FPT history? Could very well be the case.
