Top 5 Moves | FPT Geneva 2024 Tow-In Qualifiers

As we get ever closer to the start of the FPT Geneva 2025, we decided to take a look back at the very best of last year’s action to get hyped for what’s to come. The Tow-In qualifiers in 2024 brought massive stomps of huge moves, and massive claims that had the crowd on their feet. We’ve rounded up the Top 5 moves from the qualifiers to relive some of the best moments from the first two days of competition last year ahead of this year’s event.

Pasko – Lennart Neubauer (Starboard/Severne) | 9.17

Neubauer’s second move of Qualifier 2 set the bar sky high. The Pasko was massive – super high, controlled, and backed up with a claim. The judges rewarded him with the top score of the round, proving once again why Lennart is one of the most formidable riders, regardless of discipline.

Pasko – Jamie Howard (Severne) | 8.17

Jamie Howard made sure to hold his cards close to his chest until the very end. On his very last move of Qualifier 2, he also pulled out a perfect, claimed Pasko that earned him 8.17 points, and secured his ticket to the finals. A high-pressure moment, handled to perfection.

Air Funnell Burner – Lennart Neubauer (Starboard/Severne) | 8

Lennart wasted no time making an impression. His very first move of Qualifier 2 was this Air Funnell Burner, a perfect opening statement from the young Greek superstar, guns blazing from the very beginning.

One-Handed Burner 360 – Tim Gerdes | 7.83

Tim Gerdes brought serious flair with his second move of the round with a One-Handed Burner 360. Taking a hand off mid-rotation is bold, especially in Tow-In where control is crucial, and slams can be hard. Gerdes turned the risk into pure style, floating through the rotation and landing smooth. It was one of the most stylish moves of Qualifier 1, and it showed that finesse can score just as well as raw height and full send.

Triple Funnell – Yentel Caers (JP Australia/Neilpryde) | 7.67

Yentel came out swinging, landing this Triple Funnell as his very first move of Qualifier 1, taking a page out of fellow Belgian Steven van Broeckhoven’s playbook. Linking together a whole three fast, powerful rotations, the move was classic Caers: explosive, technical, and stomped – a statement and a sign of things to come later in the event.
