BOOT Dusseldorf Tow-In World Series Invitational 2026 is ON!
November 22, 2025
The Freestyle Pro Tour is excited to officially announce the launch of the the 2026 season with the return of the FPT boot Düsseldorf Invitational to kick off the 2026 Tow-In World Series, set to take place from the 23rd to the 25th of January inside the iconic Hall 17 pool arena.
As one of the most prestigious and high-profile stages in freestyle windsurfing, boot Düsseldorf once again transforms the world’s largest watersports trade fair into an action-packed freestyle show. The second weekend of the fair will belong entirely to tow-in, delivering three days of tightly-packed action in front of massive crowds and an international media presence.
This year’s edition will mark the beginning of Lennart Neubauer’s 2026 Tow-in title defence, after securing the 2025 Tow-In World Championship. With the discipline now a core pillar of the Freestyle Pro Tour, every run counts, and the indoor arena provides a perfect, controlled environment for riders to push progression even further.

Athlete selection for Düsseldorf remains highly exclusive, as 2026 raises the bar even further.
The fleet has been reduced from last year’s 12 men and 4 women to just 8 men and 3 women, making this the smallest and most elite field ever assembled at boot Düsseldorf. Entry is strictly invite-only:
• Top 6 men from the 2025 Tow-In Rankings + 2 men’s wildcards
• Top 2 women from the 2025 standings + 1 women’s wildcard
With fewer spots available and no open qualification, the pressure is higher than eve, guaranteeing a field made up exclusively of world-class riders.
The event will feature a €15,000 prize purse, with the final rider lists set to be revealed soon. What’s already certain is that Düsseldorf will once again deliver one of the most spectacular and closely watched competitions on the calendar. A controlled, broadcast-friendly indoor setting that continues to push the evolution of tow-in freestyle.

The 2026 Tow-In World Series starts here. The arena is ready, the crowds will be loud, and next season is already looking like another exciting story for freestyle fans all over the world to follow.
